Introduction to the GTGC Highpower Junior Program The GTGC Highpower Junior Program is a youth-focused initiative designed to introduce and develop marksmanship skills in juniors ages 13 to 20 across the Golden Triangle and surrounding areas. Through a combination of structured classroom instruction, consistent practice, and monthly competitions, participants gain hands-on experience in the sport of highpower rifle shooting. More than just a shooting program, we emphasize the importance of competitive sportsmanship, firearm safety, self-discipline, and responsibility. Juniors train both individually and as part of a team, learning the values and skills that extend far beyond the firing line. Our program seeks individuals of good moral character who are capable of safely handling a service rifle and are committed to personal growth and team success. Those who demonstrate exceptional dedication, skill, and teamwork may be selected to represent Texas as members of the Texas Junior Service Rifle Team at the CMP National Matches held at Camp Perry in Port Clinton, Ohio. |
