The following appeared in the Beaumont Enterprise today, 10/23/2025 detailing future construction plans by TxDOT that will affect travel to/from the gun club:
"TxDOT's Area Engineer Dave Collins and Assistant Area District Engineer Richard Bradley gave details on the new projects at a Beaumont City Council meeting held Tuesday."
"First, a rehabilitation of U.S. 69 south frontage road from Texas 124 to Erie Street will start Sept. 2, 2026. The northbound frontage road from Texas 124 to West Florida Avenue will start Dec. 1, 2026, according to Bradley."
Other projects that may have future impact some members traveling to/from the range are:
"The department will also be rehabilitating Spur 380 from Threadneedle to Jim Gilligan Way starting in April 2027, Bradley said."
"TxDOT is continuing work to widening Interstate 10 from a four-lane to a six-lane divided highway freeway from Walden Road to 7th Street, according to Collins."
"Collins said the department is also continuing work on the Cardinal Drive Interchange project, connecting the frontage road from Tinseltown and Papadeaux’s, going into Hildebrant Bayou into near the MCM Elegante Hotel and Sam’s Club."
Some of the above future projects are continuations of current ongoing projects, while others are new projects. Regardless, start now to plan ahead when coming to the range. We are open 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
Some good news, we are currently working on installing lights at the pistol ranges to enable members to shoot after dark. Stay tune for more....
